Chicago, Illinois, November 3, 2020—Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Nick Schmaltz said Thursday that the Chicago Blackhawks and Texas Rangers have not yet announced a World Series game.
Schmaltzz, a second-round draft pick in 2019, had this to say: We haven’t had a conversation about anything yet.
But if you ask me, that is the only reason we haven’t talked about it.
I don’t think we have any game date yet.
The Rangers have a lot of games left.
So I don and have no idea.
We’ll see how that works out.
Schreier, a third-round pick in 2020, has also not spoken about the Blackhawks and Rangers.
The Chicago Blackhawks’ Nick Schmalz and the Rangers’ Nick Reirden have not talked about a potential World Series matchup.
AP Photo/Gene J. PuskarChicago Blackhawks’ Andrew Shaw says he’s “not sure” if he’s going to be in the World Series.
“I just think it’s a business and it’s what you do, and I’m not sure,” Shaw said Thursday at a media event at the TD Garden.
Schwartz, Reirde and Shaw all missed last week’s game against the St. Louis Blues, so they’re not participating.
Schweitzer has not spoken to the media since Wednesday night, and his availability for the game has not been confirmed.
Schwarz and Reirdez are the only two players with NHL experience to have been drafted in the first round, while Shaw is the first player drafted in this year’s draft.
Reirde, who is 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, was drafted in 2014.
Schultz, drafted by the Blackhawks in the third round in 2018, has been a staple on the Blackhawks’ power play, leading the team in scoring in each of the past two seasons.
He has three goals and nine assists for 16 points in 21 games this season.
Reid has four goals and six assists for nine points in 25 games.
