Tim Horton is eyeing a Canadian location in Beijing.
The fast-food giant announced Thursday that it is planning a new location in the Chinese capital city of Beijing.
The announcement comes as the fast-casual chain seeks to expand its presence in the fast food segment, where it currently has no presence.
In its announcement, Tim Hortos said it is looking for a location that would fit within a building that could accommodate an outdoor seating area of 10,000 people.
Tim Hortons opened its first Canadian restaurant in Ontario in 2008.
It is now based in Ontario, Ontario, Canada.
